Madonna's estranged brother plans to publish a “graphic” tell-all book about his sister this summer.
Christopher Ciccone will release 350,000 copies of Life With My Sister Madonna on July 15, Simon & Schuster announced Wednesday (June 11, 2008).
"Ciccone's extraordinary memoir is based on his life and 47 years of growing up with and working with his sister -- the most famous woman in the world," the publisher said in a statement.
Ciccone has been working alongside British journalist Wendy Leigh, who has written biographies of Liza Minnelli, Grace Kelly and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
No word on how much money was exchanged. But a source tells the The New York Post the book will be a "brutal" look at Madge.
"It's extremely graphic and devastating," the source is quoted as saying. "Chris wrote it on the sly without telling Madonna. They want to put it out before her lawyers can get a hold of it."
Ciccone served as artistic director on the 1991 documentary Madonna: Truth or Dare and designed and directed her Girlie Show tour in 1993. ButMadonna’s spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg has said the siblings are no longer close.
